PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital amplifier that can reduce a switching speed and suppress production of distortion in a drive voltage waveform. SOLUTION: A CPU-PWM conversion section 20 receiving positive digital data generates a pulse signal having a duty ratio in response to a value of (n-1) bit data except a sign bit, this pulse signal validates a drive operation of a driver 42 to allow a transistor(TR) 52 to make switching. Furthermore, bit data resulting from inverting the sign bit validates driving of a driver 48 at that time to allow a TR 58 to conduct switching. A positive operating voltage (+Vcc) with a prescribed duty ratio is applied to one terminal A of a load 90 and a negative operating voltage (-Vcc) is applied to the other terminal B in this way.
