PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a discharge lamp, in which a scattered light is reduced and an effective luminous flux is increased compared to a conventional discharge lamp. SOLUTION: In the discharge lamp, which is comprised of: a sealing part 2, which is molded with a luminous tube 1 in one; and a pair of electrodes 4, 5 inside the luminous tube 1, a curve of the radius of curvature R formed between the luminous tube 1 and the sealing part 2 is made 1 mm or less.
