PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decelerate article falling-down speed in an article ejecting part, etc., and also to correct the falling-down attitude of an article in an automatic vending machine. SOLUTION: An article abutment member 11 capable of abutting on an article flowing down in an article storage path 4 is provided in the path 4 for storing the stacked articles 3. The member 11 is arranged slidably between an abutting position where the member 11 projects in the path 4 to abut on the article 3 and a retreat position where the member 11 retracts from the path 4 to allow the article 3 to pass through, and can be turned at the abutting position with a horizontal shaft extending to the side plates 4c on both sides of the path 4 as a center. The member 11 can not slide to the retreat position side in a standby state where the member 11 is arranged at the position capable of abutting on the article to receive the article, abuts on the article at the abutting position, then turns from the standby state to be slid to the retreat position side.
