PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a sole plate out of a steel plate, to disuse a large quantity of concrete for forming the sole plate, to reduce excessive excavation depth, to ensure the watertightness of the sole plate and to prevent the discharge of alkaline water in a shaft using a circular easing as an earth retaining. SOLUTION: The edge of a disk with an edge is pushed against the wall surface of the circular easing by a circular expansion machine, and fixed, a grouting is conducted to the rear of the disk with the edge, water is replaced, and the circular casing and the edge of the disk with the edge are welded, thus forming the sole plate.
