PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel wireless communication method and a novel wireless communication unit that can realize quick encryption communication with a communication opposite party. SOLUTION: The wireless communication unit is provided with an analog modulation section that applies analog modulation to a voice signal, a digital modulation section that applies digital modulation to the voice signal that is subjected to coding processing, a frequency hopping modulation section that selects a frequency of a primary modulation signal from the digital or analog modulation section in prescribed timing and provides an output, a transmission reception section that transmits/receives a secondary modulation signal from the frequency hopping modulation section via an antenna section, and a coding processing section that applies the coding processing to the voice signal synchronously with the frequency switching timing of the frequency hopping modulation section.
