PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording/reproducing device that accurately drives a slider by a small driving force, that minimizes the optical loss, and can record and/or reproduce information on/from an optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The device is constituted of a base, an optical disk freely rotatably provided on the base, an optical pickup including an objective lens for converging light so as to form an optical spot on the recording surface of the optical disk, an actuator arm provided freely turnably in the radial direction of the optical disk by a voice coil motor installed on the base, a load beam that is supported on the actuator arm and is elastically finely moved vertically and in the radial direction by an external force, a flexure is installed in the load beam and that supportably brings the slider into contact with the recording face, and a driving means is installed at each free end of the actuator arm and the load beam and that provides a driving force for the free end of the load beam in the radial direction. |
