PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of servo error caused by dust while maintaining the rigidity of a slider to constitute a magnetic head. SOLUTION: In a separated type magnetic head 1 consisting of the slider 2 and a back yoke 3 approximately, in order to correspond to a plurality of recording media with different recording density by one magnetic head, magnetic cores 11 and 12 for standard recording density and high recording density are provided in the slider 2. A laser beam is used to place the magnetic head to a prescribed track position and passing holes 5 and 6 to be passed by the laser beam are formed by forming or processing to the slider 2 and the back yoke 3, respectively. Because the size of the diameter of the passing holes 5 and 6 can be formed in the minimum necessary size at the position for the laser beam passing, the rigidity of the slider 2 is maintainable and falling into the passing hole of the fine dust caused by the sliding of the recording medium and the sliding surface can be suppressed. |
