PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a present position calculator capable of calculating the position at a high accuracy by receiving information of ETC toll collection by DSRC communications during running where a public road and a tollway run in parallel or running out of roads such as parking areas. SOLUTION: The present position of a vehicle is calculated by a GPS signal inputting means 5 in a place where GPS signals are receivable from GPS satellites. But some positional error results, if done by this operation only, and hence the present running position is accurately calculated by calculating the position, using the distance calculated from a vehicle speed sensor and the azimuth calculated from an azimuth sensor in a sensor input means 4 and using information of map data stored on a memory medium 1. DRC communication means 7 used for the ETC toll collection and toll collections, etc., at parking areas, drive-throughs, etc., are provided to more accurately calculate the present position. |
