PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software managing method and device for improving cache use in a microprocessor for every application. SOLUTION: This microprocess is a microprocessor, including a control unit and a cache connected to the control unit for storing use data, the cache can be selectively constituted as a single cache or a separate cache provided with a locked cache part and a normal cache part. The normal cache part is controlled by automatic replacement processing of hardware performance. The locked cache part is locked so that the automatic replacement processing can not change the contents of the locked cache. A selectively allocated instruction is given to an instruction set so that software can make the line of the locked cache part correspond to an external memory area, and the locked cache part can completely be under the management of the software.
