PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Savonius windmill capable of providing higher output in comparison with a conventional one at the same wind speed. SOLUTION: This Savonius windmill comprises one or plural reflectors 34 mounted outside of a windmill body 10, movable on the circumference on an axis of a blade 14 as a center, rotatable around self-axes in parallel with the axis of the blade 10, and capable of adjusting the flow of the wind to the blade 14; moving means 28 and 24 for moving the reflectors 34 to a predetermined position on the circumference; a rotating means 46 for rotating the reflectors 34 around the self-axes of the reflectors 34 to a specific angular position; a wind direction detecting part 48; and a control part 50 inputting the data on the wind direction detected by the wind direction detecting part 48, and driving and controlling the moving means 28 and 24, and the rotating means 46 to locate the reflectors 34 on the predetermined position on the circumference relating to the wind direction inputted in advance, and the predetermined angular position relating to the wind direction inputted in advance on the basis of the wind direction data, when the wind direction is changed. |
