摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking mechanism capable of providing the sufficient braking force by a comparatively simple remote operating mechanism and small displacement of an actuator. SOLUTION: A pair of arc-shaped brake pads 13a and 13b are pivotably fixed by means of pins in an axle housing 5 to be pivotably moved between a braking position to be engaged with an axle 2 and a free position to freely rotate the axle 2. The brake pads 13a and 13b are energized by springs to the free position providing the rotation of the axle. A simple pulley system is mounted in the axle housing, the brake pads are pressed to the braking position by the remote operation of the brake pads to be engaged with the axle with friction, whereby the brake working force is produced.</p>
