PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte solution which is to be used in an electrolytic capacitor which has a low impedance characteristic and satisfactory frequency characteristic even at a low-temperature condition, and where a reaction of the electrolyte solution with an electrode metal can be suppressed for a long time on account of its stability, even at a high-temperature condition and whose service life is long due to less change with time lapse. SOLUTION: This electrolyte solution contains a polyacrylamide or its derivative.
