PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilating muffler unit and a ventilating muffler device applicable to a part hard to secure the enough area in front of the ventilation and the enough depth in the ventilating direction such as a front grille and a bumper for an automobile, and capable of lowering the noise in a relatively wide frequency band such as the car-outside noise of an engine and capable of sufficiently securing the ventilation such as the cooling air to an engine room. SOLUTION: This box type muffler unit 20 has a ventilation part 23 and a muffler part 24 adjacent to the ventilation part 23. The ventilation part 23 is formed of a ventilation passage 23c to be opened in fore and aft direction, and the muffler part 24 is formed of plural muffler passages 24a and 24b divided by a partition plate 25 and having a different passage length La2 and Lb2. The muffler part 24 is sealed in the fore and aft direction, and at least one muffler passage 24b of the plural muffler passages is provided with passage extending partition plate 26b and 26b, and communicated with the ventilation passage 23c through openings 22a-22d of a dividing partition plate 22.
