PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for transferring conductive ball, with which a conductive ball can be stably transferred without position deviation at transfer. SOLUTION: In the transfer method for a conductive ball 5 for picking up the conductive ball 5 by means of vacuum adsorption and transferring it to a work 4, when transferring the conductive ball 5 held in an adsorption hole 32 on an adsorption head 31 onto an electrode 4a by applying a positive pressure from a suction hole 32a, the conductive ball 5 is released from the adsorbed state, and the falling conductive ball 5 is guided by an inner peripheral part 32c, formed around the adsorption hole 32. Thus, even when a height differenceΔH exists on the upper surface of the work 4, the horizontal position of the conductive ball 5 can be prevented from deviating, when the ball is transferred.
