PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the insulation failure among gradation wirings more quickly and also to detect the failure in a short time. SOLUTION: This driver is provided with wirings WA of respective gradation of a first gradation area for outputting analog multilevel voltages of respective gradation of the first gradation area and wirings WB of respective gradation of a second gradation area which are arranged alternately with wirings of respective gradation of the first gradation area and, in the driver, first ladder resistances R1 are connected among wirings of respective gradation of the first gradation area and second ladder resistances R2 are connected among wirings of respective gradation of the second gradation area. Then, a large stress voltage can be applied among respective gradation wirings with a single voltage application by applying a 0 V to input terminals V1 to V4 connected to wirings of the first gradation area and a 12 V to input terminals V5 to V9 connected to wirings of the second gradation area.
