摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard to be bent mounting substrate for a high-output laser diode bar(HDB), has high thermal conductivity and can be generally used for a wide variety of cooling elements of a cooling mechanism by conduction and convection. SOLUTION: An upper layer 2, which functions as a mounting surface for an HDB1, an intermediate layer 3 and a lower layer 4 which functions as a mounting surface for a cooling element 5 or is a related constituent element of a cooling element, are provided. An upper layer is constituted of a material, whose thermal expansion coefficient is smaller than the thermal expansion coefficient of the HDB, fine and slender opening parts 2a, 4a directed to practically cross the widthwise direction of a bar are provided to the layers, at least an upper layer is formed of a material of high thermal conductivity, an intermediate layer is constituted of a material whose thermal expansion coefficient is larger than the thermal expansion coefficient of the HDB or a combination of such materials.
