<p>A carrier information terminal (300) has a current position measuring section (302) for measuring the current position of a carrying truck. The measured current position is registered as part of physical distribution information in a database (102) by an information managing section (112) of a physical distribution information server (100) and updated as occasion demands. Cargo information inputted into a cargo owner information terminal (200) by a cargo owner and load information inputted into a carrier information terminal (300) by a carrier are registered as part of the physical distribution information. An information managing section (112) extracts the domicile of the cargo owner of the cargo satisfying a predetermined condition under which the cargo can be carried by the carrier from the physical distribution information and the current positions of transport media of the carrier. The result of the extraction is processed by an information processing section (114) and the processed result is provided to a carrier information terminal (300) of the carrier and displayed. Thanks to such configuration, the convenience of the carrier, cargo owner, and receiver is improved, and the efficiency of transport by the carrier is also improved.</p> |
