摘要 During cutting cable is centered and held in position by specific form of knife, cable end is held by clamp. After cutting through cable, immediately next to the cut, further cutting is done, with distance between cuts of between 10 to 0.001 times the cable diameter, preferably thinner than 0.3 millimeters. Knife used is especially thin only in the immediate cut area but of normal thickness otherwise. Device uses knives (a-c) which co-operate with new knife (d). Knife (a) has slanted cutting edge, milled down notch-like to very thin blade in middle area (a). Knife (b) has straight cutting edge with similar milling and V-shaped inlet for pre-centering. Radius V-knife (c) has round cutting edge and similar milling. Milling is about the width of the expected cable thickness and has length of more than the expected knife movement through the cable. Knife (d) is radius V-knife but thicker. It has V-shaped centering inlet, milled at its base so that cable is centered and held in position when one of the three knives (a,b,c) cuts off a thin slice.
