A burning method utilizing water, characterized in that water or steam is contacted and reacted with an incineration ash containing aluminum in a reducing region of oxidizing and reducing regions formed during the burning of combustibles, to thereby generate a combustible gas and achieve improved combustion efficiency. The method provides a burning method having a good efficiency comprising feeding an incineration ash and water into a flame formed by burning combustibles.
