PURPOSE: An automatic screening system not using any electric power to remove suspended and floating solids contained in river is provided to prevent effectively water pollution without power consumption. CONSTITUTION: The automatic screening system comprises the parts of a plurality of screen bars(1); a screen of which one end is hinged to a concrete structure on river bed, and of which the other end is hinged to a floating body(7) so that the screen bars is floated as sufficiently sloped downstream; a conveyer(4) which transfers floating solids collected as being ascended on the screen bar into a waste bin; and a water wheel that provides driving force generated by water flow to the conveyer.
