Expression cassette (EC) comprises a sequence (I) encoding at least one non-immunogenic receptor (II) that is localized at the cell surface, where (I) is under control of an organ- or tissue-specific promoter, optionally also of one or more additional regulatory elements positioned 3' with respect to the promoter, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) vector containing EC; (2) method for in vitro isolation of differentiated organ- or tissue-specific mammalian cells that involves transfecting pleuripotent precursor cells with the vector of (1); (3) transgenic cardiomyocytes with an electrophysiological property spectrum characteristic of ventricular cells; and (4) transgenic cells produced by method (2).
