In a dual printed circuit connector of the type in which opposed contacts operate on both sides of the circuit board, the contacts are retained in the insulating body by means of projections and recesses which co-operate with corresponding abutment members in the insulating body. The connector consists of a body 16 with a channel 19, which accepts the printed circuit board 20, on each side of which channel, in opposed pairs are chambers 24a, 24b each of which contains a resilient contact 17. In the drawings, corresponding parts of the upper and lower contacts are distinguished by suffixes a and b respectively. Each contact has a projecting edge portion 40 which slides along a groove formed between the top of the chamber and a projection 34. On the top of the contact is an outwardly struck portion 41 which abuts shoulder 32 preventing forward movement of the contact, and the portion 41 is prevented from falling away from the shoulder 32 by a leg 47 which rides up ramp 29 in front of which projection 44 clips. Hole 42 in the top part of the contact clips over projection 33. The contact surface 37a rests on one side of the printed circuit board while the surface 37b of an identical contact member rests on the opposite side. The tail 36 of each contact is adapted to be crimped round a contact wire after which the contact is inserted from the rear, projection 40 sliding along the slot and the opposite edge of 35 riding over projection 33 and projection 44 riding up the ramp 29. The contact is thus twisted and the neck 45 is provided to allow this. When the contact reaches its correct position it untwists and clips into position.
