The motor-reducer comprises a driving shaft (14), driven by a motor (10), and a driven shaft (17). A transmission with a gear drive includes at least one worm gear (14a) solidly attached to the driving shaft (14), engaging with a first toothed wheel (20a) of an intermediate pinion (20). A second toothed section (20b) on an intermediate pinion engages with the driven pinion which is solidly attached to the driven shaft (17). The second toothed section (20b) of the intermediate pinion and the teeth of the driven pinion (40) are generally helicoidal, with an orientation such that the driven pinion (40) urges the intermediate pinion axially in a direction opposed to the axial pressure exerted by the work gear (14a) on the intermediate pinion.
