The atomizing burner has an impingement plate(18) located inside the combustion chamber in the fuel atomizing direction and in the flame zone of the burner. The impingement plate may be conical, convex or concave. The impingement plate is constructed as a disc with a collar(20) against the atomizing direction to form a sort of cup. The diameter of the impingement plate is smaller than that of the combustion chamber. The impingement plate is fixed by fastening brackets(22).
