<p>An apparatus (10) for obtaining dust samples from minerals in underground mines. The apparatus (10) is built on a motorized mobile carrier (14) and includes an onboard lab station (12). A power driven tool (68, 90), such as a rock saw (90) or a rock drill (68), is provided for obtaining samples from minerals. A collecting device (84) is provided for instantly collecting dust samples as the power driven tool (68, 90) is operated. The apparatus includes a personnel lift platform (38) with an integrated multi-position feed assembly (58) adapted to be selectively used in combination with the rock saw (90) or the rock drill (68).</p> |
