The invention relates to polymerizable materials comprising two components, whereby component I contains: (a) 0.1 to 20 wt. % of at least one vinyl ether; (b) 10 to 89.9 wt. % of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer that is not vinyl ether; (c) 0.001 to 5 wt. % of at least one accelerator, and; (d) 9.999 to 89.999 wt. % of fillers, thixotropy auxiliary agents, retarders and other auxiliary agents. Component II contains: (e) 0.1 to 20 wt. % of at least one barbituric acid derivative and/or of one malonyl sulfonamide that can initiate the radical polymerization; (f) 0 to 89.9 wt. % of fillers, thixotropy auxiliary agents, retarders and other auxiliary agents, and; (g) 10 to 80 wt. % of common plasticizers. The invention also relates to the use of said dental materials.
