<p>The present invention provides for compositions and methods for the preservation of tissues and organs <i>ex vivo</i> and <i>in situ</i>. In addition, the present invention provides for kits that may be used in the preparation of the solutions of the present invention. The present invention also provides a device for perfusing tissues and organs with the solutions of the present invention.</p>
