LEPIDIUM APETALUM W. EXTRACT INHIBITING GENERATION OF HEPATITIS B VIRUS SURFACE ANTIGEN(HBSAG) AND SEPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Provided is a Lepidium apetalum W. extract which inhibits the generation of hepatitis B virus surface antigen(HBsAg). Also, its separation method and its use as therapeutic agent in hepatitis and hepatic carcinoma are provided. Therefore, the extract can be useful in the field of biomedicine industry. CONSTITUTION: The extraction method of Lepidium apetalum W. comprises the steps of: drying and pulverizing Lepidium apetalum W.; suspending pulverized materials in water then centrifuging them to remove insoluble substance; adding water soluble organic solvent such as ethylalcohol into filtrate to obtain precipitates. The extract inhibits the generation of hepatitis B virus surface antigen(HBsAg). The therapeutic composition in hepatitis and hepatic carcinoma contains the extract as an active ingredient.
