METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING AND RELEASING LOCKING FUNCTION OF IMAGE DATA COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method for establishing and releasing a locking function of an image data communication terminal is provided to prevent the terminal to be lost or robbed and to be misused by using a camera mounted on the image data communication terminal to identify a user and thereby providing the user with the right to use the terminal. CONSTITUTION: A camera(30) takes a picture of a user. A display(70) outputs image data received by an antenna. The first image signal processing unit(40) encodes image signal photographed by the camera(30). The image signal is transmitted through the antenna. The second image signal processing unit(80) decodes the image data received through the antenna. The decoded image data is output to the display(70). A still image capturing unit(10) captures a face image of the user photographed by the camera(30). A face recognizing and processing unit(20) extracts a characteristic by using a user face data signal output from the still image capturing unit(10) and stores the characteristic in form of data in a memory(60). A central processing unit(70) transmits the image data photographed by the camera(30) via the antenna, outputs the image data received through the antenna to the display(70), compares the user face information data stored in the memory(60) with the user face information data photographed by the camera(30), and thereby releases a locking function of the image data communication terminal.
