摘要 A direct electrostatic printing device and method for printing an image with improved dot concentration. It has been discovered that unwanted deflection forces can influence the trajectory of toner jets, especially during the latter part, which results in pigment particles landing outside a predetermined dot location. According to the invention the trajectory of one or more toner jets are adjusted during deflection to compensate for the unwanted deflection forces appearing after the deflection of the toner jets in question. This will reduce or eliminate any spreading of printed dots and will alow higher printing speeds without a degradation of print quality.
