The seal comprises sealing plate (2) and deformation restrictor which is formed as a swage (7) which is symmetrical relative to the top and bottom layers (3, 4) so that a raised area (9) is directed towards one of the layers and an indentation (12) faces the other. The indentation is enclosed by two protrusions (13, 14) which are raised opposite the surface of the sealing plate so that a filler can be included in the indentation. the degree of filling in the indentation depends on the desired deformation behaviour
