The invention concerns an apparatus characterised in that it comprises: a mount frame (1) with a protective housing (2) wherein is arranged a horizontal window (2b) for providing a passage and an outlet for the newspapers (J); inside said frame, a platform (4) for receiving a stack of newspapers (J) guided in vertical position by means (6) (23) and mounted in elastic suspension on means (8-7) (21) enabling it to be positioned and to be in contact against an upper platform (12) for extracting the newspapers one by one; said extracting platform (12) being provided with means (13) temporarily providing a support to the stack of newspapers, said means (13) being associated with means for extracting the top newspaper towards an outlet window of the apparatus; said means being mounted with a flexible travel range relative to said platform according to the volume of the stack of newspapers; said platform receiving (4) the newspapers being controlled in position by a braking device.
