In the present invention there are disclosed synergistic fungicidal compositions containing a fungicidal triazole and metconazol for treating plants or the loci thereof, or for use in wood-preservation or protection of biologically degradable materials. In the present invention there is also claimed a method of fighting harmful fungi, which method is characterized in that plants attacked by fungi or loci of their occurrence or wood or cellulose for manufacture of paper or biologically degrading materials are treated either simultaneously or individually or successively with an effective amount of the above-specified synergistic fungicidal composition.
