Acrylic capstock material, compound product containing such material and process for preparing such product

An acrylic capstock material comprising 40 - 100 % by weight of an acrylic copolymer made by polymerising a monomer mixture comprising 50 - 99 % by weight of methyl methacrylate (MMA) and 1 - 50 % by weight of an alkyl acrylate; and 0 - 60 % by weight of an impact modifier in the form of discrete particles each having a multi-layer structure, wherein said capstock material has a melt flow index of at least 1.5, measured as described in ASTM D-1238 using a 3.8 kg load at 230 DEG C. The capstock is suitable for extrusion at temperatures below 200 DEG C e.g. for coextrusion onto PVC polymers.
