Adhesive tape, comprises a stretched thermoplastic film, a primer layer, two release layers and an adhesive layer. Adhesive tape comprises, in sequence: (A) a stretched thermoplastic film; (B) a primer layer that covers only part of the surface of the thermoplastic film and is securely bonded to the thermoplastic film; a first release layer (RL1) that covers the whole surface of the primer layer and thermoplastic film and adheres better to the primer layer than to the thermoplastic film; a second release layer (RL2) that covers the whole surface of RL1 and adheres better to RL1 than does RL1 to the thermoplastic film; and (C) an adhesive layer that covers the whole surface of RL2 and adheres better to RL2 than does RL2 to RL1.
