<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the cracking gasification of methanol by using a catalyst which is more inexpensive than a conventionally used catalyst, having a high heat efficiency since the cracking gasification of methanol is an endothermic reaction, a large amount of heat must be supplied from the outside, consequently, if the reaction temperature of the cracking gasification can be made lower than that of a conventional method, a temperature difference between the reaction temperature and the temperature of an external heat source is enlarged, the amount of heat can be received in a time shorter than that of the conventional method and the heat efficiency can be raised. SOLUTION: An autoclave having 300 ml inner volume is charged with 2 g of nickel powder, 50 g of methanol and 10 g of water and the contents are heated to 250 deg.C while stirring. The residual pressure of the autoclave after cooled to ordinary temperature is 1.7 MPs gauge pressure and the formed amount of this synthesis gas is 3 l.</p> |
