PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the internal temperature of the housing of a double surface reversing device from rising to a temperature affecting on each part. SOLUTION: The housing 32 for containing a reversing part 20 having a switchback carrying passage 16 for receiving a sheet having an image formed on one side and a re-carrying part 30 for receiving the sheet switchback carried from the switchback carrying passage 16 and re-carrying it is formed in such a manner that the lateral width W1 of the part for arranging the reversing part 20 is larger than the lateral width W2 of the part for arranging the re- carrying part 30, so that the heated air is diffused so as not to stay in the vicinity of the reversing part 20. Air holes 35 and 3 are formed on the side wall surface 32b and upper wall surface 32c of the housing 32, respectively, so that the heated air in the housing 32 is efficiently discharged out of the housing 32 through the upper air hole 36.
