VISCOELASTIC COMPOSITION AND VISCOELASTIC DAMPER MADE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscoelastic composition having excellent characteristics to improve the damping property at room temperature or thereabout and keep the temperature dependence of rigidity at a low level and provide a viscoelastic damper produced by using the composition. SOLUTION: The viscoelastic composition is composed mainly of an isobutylene block copolymer composed of a polymer block containing isobutylene as main monomer component and a polymer block which does not contain isobutylene as main monomer component. The ratio of G'10 deg.C/G'30 deg.C (G'10 deg.C and G'30 deg.C are storage moduli measured by the dynamic viscoelastic measurement of the composition in shearing mode at 10 deg.C and 30 deg.C, respectively) is <=5 and the loss tangent (tanδ) measured by the above measurement is >=0.4 at 10 deg.C to 30 deg.C.
