PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnesium alloy thin formed body having a good appearance by making streak irregularity hardly visible and reducing a thickness variance so as to secure a volume/mountability of a mounting part. SOLUTION: Plastic working is applied to a magnesium alloy stock, a surface roughness of a principal part after plastic working is <=70μm Ra. Further, a thickness variation width of the principal part after plastic working is <=70μm. At this time, a thickness of the principal part is preferably <=1.5 mm, further, the plastic working is preferably hot forging and/or warm forging, a crystal structure, an average grain size, a thickness variation and a thickness of the magnesium alloy stock are selected.
