PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the short side panel of a folding container assembled in a box shape from falling inside even when it is pushed by an arm in case it is held by both hands. SOLUTION: A rectangular bottom panel 1 is provided with a long side panel 2 mounted freely rotatively on each facing long side and with a short side panel 3 mounted freely rotatively on each facing short side. In assembling this folding container in a box shape, the pair of short side panels 3 in a knocked down condition are folded on the pair of long side panels 2 in a knocked down condition, and after the panels 3 are raised, the panels 2 are raised. In a standing condition, both inside ends of the panels 3 are supported by both end faces of the facing panels 2.
