The support (1) for placing on a floor or bed, particularly a water bed, comprises a frame (2) on which a coating is fitted, which has a basic frame part (4) and a hinged back frame part (5). The back frame part is adjustable between an inwardly folded position in which it rests on the basic frame part, and a usage position in which it is usable whilst the basic frame part adopts a resting state on the floor or bed.
