PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a pyrrolidine by removing water from a hydrous pyrrolidine by an azeotropic distillation. SOLUTION: This method for purifying a pyrrolidine is characterized as in distilling and removing water contained in a hydrous pyrrolidine a third component which forms an azeotrope with water at a temperature lower than the boiling point of the pyrrolidine and has a boiling point equal to or lower than the boiling point of the pyrrolidine is added to the hydrous pyrrolidine so that the azeotrope of the third component and water is distilled off from the top of the distillation column and the high purity pyrrolidine is obtained from the bottom of the distillation column. |
