PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube is provided to generate far-infrared rays from a deflection yoke of the cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION: The cathode ray tube includes a deflection yoke(30) having separators(31) which are combined with each other. A vertical coil and a horizontal coil are wound round an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface of a core(34). The core(34) is mounted on the deflection yoke(30). The coils and the core(34) are fixed at the separators(31) with a silicon bond material. A far-infrared rays generating material is coated on the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the separators(31). A ceramic is used as the far-infrared rays generating material.
