PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizer that is small and is excellent in deodorizing performance. SOLUTION: The deodorizer comprises a shell case 1 with a hollowed interior, a heating wire 2 of alloy radially formed in the shell case 1, an alumina layer 3 formed over the surface of the heating wire, platinum 4 applied to the surface of the alumina layer 3, terminals 5 for energizing the heating wire 2, an insulating stand 6 of ceramics for supporting the terminals 5, an air course 1 in which the heating wire 2 is arranged, an unpurified gas inflow port 8 defined from the air course 7 to a part of the exterior of the shell case 1, a purified gas outflow port 9 defined from the air course 7 to another part of the exterior of the shell case 1, and a holding member 10 arranged in the air course 7 for the heating wire 2. The temperature rise time of the catalyst itself is shortened appreciably, and the deodorizing capacity is improved. |
