PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a lead holder provided at a tip end of a barrel without fault in a writing instrument having a lead feeding mechanism. SOLUTION: A mouthpiece (6) is formed of a hard synthetic resin material. An elastic holder (11) is integrally molded of a soft synthetic resin material by a procedure of dichroically molding or insert molding. In this case, a lead is frictionally held by this holder (11).
