PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a an open mesh disc for polishing and a manufacturing method therefor, capable of conducting stable grinding and polishing works regardless of hardness, and maintaining good ventilation and long cooling effect, hardly causing clogging, with higher radiation of an abrasive surface and resistance to burning. SOLUTION: This open mesh disc 1 for polishing is formed by superpasingly disposing rectangular abrasive pieces 2 having vent holes and formed into a mesh shape, using flexible fiber as a material, so as to leave recesses radialy.
