PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the chemical cleaning effect of a filter membrane soaked in a membrane soaking tank and facilitate the operation control by shooting a variety of troubles entailing a chemical cleaning process. SOLUTION: This membrane-soaked solid-liquid separation device is equipped with a means 15 to supply a rinsing solution to the membrane soaking tank 1A. The method for separating the solid from the liquid through a soaked membrane is to first drain the liquid from the membrane soaking tank 1A with the suspension of untreated water supply prior to the cleaning of membrane modules 3A, 3B after the end of a membrane filtering process then rinse the membrane soaking tank 1A by supplying the rinsing solution to the tank 1A and supply a membrane cleaning chemical solution to the tank 1A after the rinsing solution is drained and finally perform the chemical cleaning of the membrane modules 3A, 3B.
