The ceramic building element based on urban sludge comprises an 80:20 to 65:35 sludge:forest residue ground mixture blended with dry clay (ca. 40:60 mixture:clay ratio) for addition of water, drying and firing. The maximum firing temperature is 900-1000 degrees C. The sludge comes from an urban water treatment plant.
