PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when performing multi-layer welding to the joint beam flange of a building steel frame by gas shielded arc welding, in order to perform continuous welding by a welding robot among a plurality of beam flanges, (1) the width (weld length) of the beam flange must be short and a total time required for sensing and the welding must be a short and (2) the removal of spatters attached to a welding torch nozzle and the removal of an insulation oxidized film at the tip of a welding wire, are indispensable. SOLUTION: This invention is composed of a device consisting of a rotary mechanism turning in the horizontal direction and mounted with a portable type welding robot having a nozzle cleaner served as a wire processing instrument, which consists of a projecting and recessing plate removing the spatters and a file removing the insulation oxidized film, and a tool fixing this rotary mechanism on the surface of a joint diaphragm. By rotating and controlling the portable type welding robot in the groove part of each beam flange and by sensing automatically the shape of the welding groove part, all the grooves of the plural beam flanges and diaphragm joint part are automatically welded. |
