PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a main rope holder capable of enough securing safety even in the case of using aluminum-made main rope strut by putting a high strength cap-like fitted member on the upper part of the strut to apply reinforcing action of the fitted body to the strut. SOLUTION: In this main rope holder, a cap-like fitted member 2 put on at least the substantially whole periphery of the strut 1 from above is fitted and fixed on the upper part of the strut 1 installed in an erect state, the top face part of the fitted member 2 is provided with a main rope holding part 5 for holding a main rope 4 in the passed state, and the fitted member 2 is made of metal having higher strength than aluminum.
